Liz McGuire - PT, DPT, OCS

Growing up in St. Louis, I was a competitive three-sport high school athlete and had a few injuries to prove it. Going through my own bouts of PT and seeing the hard work pay off, I knew physical therapy was the profession for me. I headed north after high school and graduated from Marquette University’s Direct Admit Doctor of Physical Therapy program in 2008 with an undergrad degree in Exercise Science. I finished my last clinical rotation with outpatient orthopedic powerhouse Athletico Physical Therapy in Chicago where I practiced for the next 12 years. I treated an eclectic mix of diagnoses from pediatric toe-walking to middle-aged low back pain to geriatric gait and balance with everything in between. Through the years I became the go-to therapist for endurance athletes, low back pain with radicular symptoms, and hip pain.

March 2020 brought change almost overnight for most people including our family, and we decided it was a good time to leave Chicago and put down roots in beautiful Evergreen. My husband, Brian, and I have three kids who love the active, outdoor lifestyle that we get to take advantage of year-round.

Why FRPT?

Working at a big company alongside 10 other PTs and OTs, I was able to see a copious number of patients over the years. I took advantage of all the best continuing education to further my knowledge within orthopedics and build relationships with the top docs in the area for referrals. Front Range Physical Therapy allows me to use all the positives from working at an outpatient physical therapy clinic---minus the negatives.
